Dr. Professor (Mrs) J. Nirmala, M.Tech., PhD., is an alumnus of NIT, Trichy.

She completed her graduation and post-graduation in Civil Engineering at the Regional Engineering College (REC) Trichy / National Institute Technology (NIT) Trichy.

Later, she was conferred with doctorate by the Anna University, Chennai

She joined PITS in the inception year when the institution was started in 2008 as the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.

In 2009, she was promoted as Dean (Academics) taking care of academic administration.

In 2013, she assumed charge as the head of the institution as Principal & Dean (Academics).

She has undergone a residential Global Leadership Development Program at the Haggai Institute, U.S.A..

She has published many research papers to her credit and has over 25 years of rich teaching experience since 1996.
